Think giving to yourself first is selfish and ridiculous? How many times have you lashed out on your kids over something minor? How many times have you felt like staying home from work? How often to you feel unappreciated and unhappy? Chances are you answered more times than you thought. There is one good explanation and fix for these challenges, you're constantly giving from an empty pot. Giving from an empty pot? Yeah. You have loss focus on doing the activities necessary to recharge and re-energize yourself. You give, give, give but always to other people and things. Don't get me wrong, that is an amazing characteristic to possess, however, it's also a draining quality. I know this feeling all too well. Sitting on the other side of people when they share their stories of frustration in regards to their inability to achieve their health and fitness goals, I see the main reason is they are generous to others and stingy to themselves. The topic of self-care is especially challenging to navigate with mothers. What more selfless an act than raising children, it's truly an amazing gift. Most leaders will tell you that in order to build a strong team, you must lead by example. The same principle applies to raising strong, well-rounded children. I am no parent or child-psychologist, but I did complete a minor in psychology and I have experienced different types of parenting. In order for children to learn how to respect themselves and others and develop the skill of self-care, they must see their parents do the very same thing. Not only will YOU feel more relaxed and better able to handle stress, your children will support your efforts as well. I have definitely seen this change first hand with many of my clients. It's truly a beautiful thing to experience. Always know where you are and where you want to go. Too often I meet wonderful people who have lost themselves in the day to day responsibilities of life. Raising a family, being a good wife/partner, being an awesome employee, etc. Clients feel lost, sad, hopeless, full of self-doubt - all of which truly breaks my heart! When we lose focus on giving to ourselves, being our #bestself or finding out how we can be the best version of ourself? Remember that in order to be the best version of ourselves, we must "refill the pot". Take time away to #recharge, #re-energize. #Volunteer and give back to the #universe. Take control of your health goals, instead of letting life control your health. Let's go 2018! Who's with me? 🙋🙋🙋 Simply click the grey "get started" button above.

We should know ourselves more than anyone, we must be wise so that there will be a solution to the problem that we have in the current situation. We should always consider the things that are going on. There are choices that should be taken seriously so that there will be no bad results that will happen. There will only be good results that will happen in the end. I am happy with the different reminders that we can see here.
