Preparing meals at home is indeed cheaper than going out to eat at restaurants. On weekends, I cook a meal or meals good for three days and I bring them at work to minimize my food expenses. I could really say that I'm saving a lot more than eating outside. Also, I'm able to control the ingredients of what i cook since I avoid MSGs and the like. I prefer meals with organic ingredients to keep them healthy. Cooking has been my hobby so I couldn't really say that it's a challenge for me, but thanks for posting this to encourage your readers!
